epm: technology are proud to boast a diverse workforce of over 100 skilled individuals within the engineering and advanced manufacturing industries.

From the factory floor to senior management, the same ethos of high performance is shared throughout in order to build and maintain our status as one of the top composite manufacturers in Europe.

We took the opportunity to interview a selection of our staff on life at epm: technology. In part 2 of 2, we talk to Project Engineer Dan and Engineer Philip.

Job Title: Project Engineer

Can you briefly explain your primary role at epm: technology?

Producing a quote, managing projects throughout the factory, dealing with customers and communicating between all departments.

When did you start working for epm: technology?

May 2015.

What initially attracted you to the company?

The industries that we manufacture parts for i.e. motorsport/ automotive/ aerospace/ defence.

In three words, how would you explain the work-culture at epm: technology?

Dedicated, innovative, teamwork.

What is the most impressive project you have been involved with so far?

LMP3 bodywork – from CAD to track.

We’ve been in our bespoke facility for over a year now, how would you explain your workplace in three words?

Clean, clinical, purpose-built.

What advice would you give to people with ambitions of working in advanced engineering?

Put your head down and work hard. Never wait for things to happen, make them happen for yourself through hard graft and not giving up.

Pooleo/Stokie/DP/Dan/Harry.

Job Title: Engineer

Can you briefly explain your primary role at epm: technology?

The link between our customers and the product by managing the project as a whole, from concept to fruition.

When did you start working for epm: technology?

June 2013.

What initially attracted you to the company?

The fact that it was a local company involved in F1.

In three words, how would you explain the work-culture at epm: technology?

Fast-paced, varied and rewarding.

What is the most impressive project you have been involved with so far?

The BJJR Bulldog. I worked on the CAD to get it out on time.

We’ve been in our bespoke facility for over a year now, how would you explain your workplace in three words?

Clean, modern, expansive.

What advice would you give to people with ambitions of working in advanced engineering?

It’s not always about what you know, but how you apply that knowledge to the situation you are in.

I don’t have one.
